A school website speaks to applicants, students, parents, companies and the public all at once, and each of them is looking for something different. We build it so that every group finds its way without knowing the organisational structure, with accessibility required by law and a content management system that handles dozens of editors with different permissions.

For universities this includes a multisite: faculties, departments, institutes and projects have their own website in their own look and with their own content management, while design, security, updates and performance are handled once for all of them.

Custom e-learning and education platform

A standard LMS serves teaching within a school well. We build a custom education platform where learning reaches outwards or is sold: lifelong learning, courses for the public and companies, professional academies, certifications, sector training run by associations and institutions.

This includes a course catalogue with sales and payment, teaching through video, texts, tests and assignments, certificates on completion, company accounts with an overview of the people who completed a course, and an environment that works without a manual, because a paying participant has no obligation to learn it. The content and the brand stay yours; operation and development can be ours.

Applicant portal

Applicants ask “what could I study and what will it be like”, not “what is the study programme code”. An applicant portal is a marketing and service layer on top of the student information system: a programme catalogue with filters and a guide to choosing, a clear path to the application, an overview of what the applicant is still missing and what comes next, deadlines, open days and content that answers questions before they are put to the study office.

Student and staff portal, intranet

Timetable, news, forms, regulations, requests, canteen, library: information and services that students and staff look for in many places with many logins. The portal brings them together on one screen by role and under a single sign-on, takes data from the student, HR and finance systems without replacing them, and simply presents it to people in a clear form.

For staff this includes an intranet with regulations, documents and their approval, requests, a helpdesk and internal communication from management – and for educational institutions outside academia, the same on a smaller scale.

School mobile app

Timetable and its changes, deadline reminders, campus map, canteen, events, ID card: what students need during the day should be in their pocket, not in browser bookmarks. We connect the app to the portal and the content management system, so content is entered once, and we target push notifications by faculty, year or interest.

We build apps for educational programmes and academies the same way: the course, materials and tests at hand even offline, with reminders that help learners make it all the way to the certificate.

Booking and registration systems

Classrooms, laboratories, study rooms, office hours, sports facilities, courses for the public, conferences: time and capacity are booked everywhere, and often through spreadsheets and emails. A booking system brings overview and rules: who can book what, when and under what conditions, with confirmation, a reminder and payment where needed.

For events and conferences we add participant registration, abstract collection, the programme and issuing of invoices and receipts, connected to the student or finance system where it makes sense.
